Thomas Marek Trio

In their concert performance, pianist Patrick Bebelaar, bassist Jan Roder and tap dancer / drummer Thomas Marek push the boundaries of jazz and tap dance. 
They break away from classical song structures and move deeper into musical and dance improvisation. Traditional constants such as timing, melody and structure are broken up there and fused together kaleidoscopically into ever new, flowing musical motifs. Thomas Marek's dance improvisations develop their own musical percussion language that uses the whole body as a musical instrument.
